Port Elizabeth was all I expected, and more, bearing in mind the warmth and hospitality of the people.

With William Benjamin
We were greeted by our hosts, the Benjamin’s and felt very much at home. I did meet the Benjamin’s in Riversdale two years before and was happy to be in their part of the world
Our schedule proved to be hectic but a great blessing as attendance at all meetings was very good.
The meetings- Thursday 30th to Monday 3rdAugust were as follows:
Thursday night - Salsoniville - Philippians 2:1-11 - “HUMILITY”
Friday night - Avondale - Combined Youth Meeting - “PURITY”. A PowerPoint presentation was used as a springboard to lively discussion on myths about sex. the adults present expressed gratitude for the presentation as this matter is not usually dealt with in church. It was encouraging to see such a large number of young people and we pray that they will continue such fellowship in the years to come.
Saturday night - Gelvandale - Combined Ministry - 1 Chron. 12:32 “INTEGRITY IN MINISTRY” Looking at the importance of recognizing the need for change as we minister to different age groups and cultures.
Sunday Morning – Avondale - Family Service - Eccl. 2:1-11 “ALL IS VANITY” Learning from the notebook of a wise man who was a fool.
Sunday Morning – Avondale - Breaking of Bread Service “SACRIFICING TO GOD”.
Sunday Afternoon – Gelvandale – Combined Ministry - 1 Cor. 3:1-3; Heb. 5:12-14; 1 Pet. 2:1-3; 2 Pet. 3:14-18 “SPIRITUAL MATURITY”. Spiritual diet is important if one is to mature in the things of Christ.
Sunday Evening - Salsoniville - Gospel meeting
Monday Evening - Hillside - Combined Ministry - Matt. 6:1-15; James 5:16. “THE PATH THAT LEADS TO HEALING”. A sincere look at the pain and anguish caused by having an unforgiving spirit. Praise the Lord for the over flow crowd at this final meeting in Port Elizabeth. At least 75% of those present responded for the call for prayer and renewal AWESOME. We trust God for what will take place in the lives of those who sincerely sought and extended forgiveness.
An enjoyable visit to the Addo Elephant Park with a group of PE believers was a great finale to this rewarding first visit to Port Elizabeth.
We thank the lord for all those who showed great hospitality and otherwise encouraged us before we moved on to Zambia.
