Personal
Edward, the second son of Edward and Catherine Richardson, was born in St. Vincent, West Indies.
In 1966 he went to England where he successfully completed studies in both Psychiatric and General Nursing. In 1972 he accepted a position as a registered nurse at St. Brendans Hospital in Bermuda.
With the Lord’s leading he took advantage of opportunities to complete studies in Supervisory Management, Health Service Administration and Substance Abuse Treatment. This prepared him to function as Mental welfare officer, Assistant director of Nursing and later Director of Montrose Substance abuse Center all with the Bermuda Hospitals Board.
Recognising God’s call on his life, he resigned from his job to serve the Lord on a full time basis. Edward had served as Elder, Sunday School superintendent and Youth Leader at the Cobbs Hill Gospel Assembly.
On April 9, 1993 he was commended by the saints at Cobbs Hill Gospel Chapel, his local assembly. His commendation was endorsed by eight other assemblies in Bermuda.
The Lord has opened the door for service both at home and in several countries abroad.
His ministry focuses on Evangelism, Ministry of the Word and Christian Counselling.
As opportunities present themselves, he conducts seminars on Family Issues and Substance Abuse.
Edward is ably supported in the ministry by his wife Evereth (Evie) who is Principal at Somerset Primary School in Bermuda. They have three children, Sharika, Sacha and Edward.
